The Galileo Open Air Cinema

There's just something about Wednesdays, it doesn't have that depressing feeling of a Monday, but not quite the excitement brought on by a Friday, its just there, in the middle, indifferent...
Well there's something to turn that mid-week drag into something a little more anticipatory... The Galileo Open Air Cinema!!!

Set to the backdrop of one of the most iconic sights in the world, The Galileo Open Air Cinema has found its home in the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens. Taking place every Wednesday from November 2012 up until the end of the Cape Town Summer season in April 2013, it is Cape Town's only open air cinema.

Every week sees a different genre/theme:
1st week of the month: Documentaries
2nd week of the month: Best Foreign
3rd week of the month: Adventure Sports
4th week of the month: All-Time Classics

Tonight's movie will be "ReelRock7," as it is Adventure sport night, a full schedule of upcoming movies is available here.

So get out your picnic baskets and blankets and head out to Kirstenbosch to enjoy a memorable night out "under a ceiling of stars".
